Terms of Service

These Terms and Conditions apply to all engraving work carried out by Perry Lewis
By commissioning work, you agree to the terms below.
1. Orders & Payment
1.1 Placing an Order
Orders are accepted by email at contact@perrylewis.co.ukOrders are not confirmed through phone, SMS, or social media.
1.2 Payment Terms
Full payment is required after the engraving is completed and before the item is returned or collected, unless agreed otherwise.Payment is accepted by bank transfer only.I reserve the right to withhold any item until full payment has been received.
1.3 Cancellations & Changes
No charge applies if cancelled before work begins.The full cost applies once engraving has started.If an item has already been shipped, the customer is responsible for return postage.Late or conflicting instruction changes may delay completion or incur a small fee.
2. Customer-Supplied Items
2.1 Suitability
Customers are responsible for ensuring their items are suitable for engraving.I reserve the right to decline any item considered unsuitable or at risk of damage.
2.2 Liability & Risk
Every item is handled carefully, but engraving is a permanent and delicate process.By proceeding, you accept this inherent risk.No liability is accepted for damage unless caused by proven error.
2.3 Pre-Existing Damage
Any visible flaws or weaknesses will be noted before work begins.I cannot be responsible for pre-existing issues.
2.4 Loss of Value
Engraving may affect resale or sentimental value.This remains the customer’s responsibility to consider beforehand.
2.5 Compensation
If an item is damaged due to my proven error, I will assess the case fairly and may offer a correction, partial refund, or alternative resolution.
3. Refunds & Corrections
Refunds are not available for changes of mind once work has begun.If an engraving error occurs, I will:Attempt to correct it where possible; orOffer a reasonable partial refund if correction isn’t feasible.
4. Turnaround, Delivery & Collection
4.1 Timeframes
Turnaround times vary by design and workload.Any time estimates are indicative only.I am not liable for delays caused by factors outside my control (such as illness, postal delays, or strikes).
4.2 Priority Services
Priority or express services are available for an agreed additional charge.
4.3 Delivery & Collection
All items are returned using Royal Mail Special Delivery.Trade clients may collect items by appointment.Risk transfers to the customer upon dispatch or personal handover.
4.4 Lost or Undelivered Shipments
No refunds or replacements are provided for uninsured shipments.I will assist with claims for insured parcels where possible.
4.5 Uncollected Items
Items unpaid or uncollected after 30 days may be considered abandoned.I reserve the right to recycle or dispose of them after reasonable contact attempts.
5. Hand Engraving Quality
Small variations in depth, spacing, or alignment are natural characteristics of hand engraving and are not considered defects.Sample engravings can be provided upon request at standard rates using materials supplied by the customer.
6. Privacy & Communication
Personal information is collected solely for communication and order processing.Your data is stored securely and never shared.I may contact you to:Confirm or clarify engraving detailsProvide progress updates or dispatch informationFollow up after completion
7. Invoicing & Late Payment
Invoices are due upon issue unless otherwise agreed.Persistent non-payment may result in refusal of future work.Items may be retained until payment is received in full.
8. Disputes & Legal
If you have any concern or dispute, please contact me within seven days of delivery or collection.All matters are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled within that jurisdiction.
